Reaching out for support is one of the most courageous things you can do. If you’ve been carrying anxiety, stress, or the weight of past experiences largely on your own, you don’t have to keep doing that.
At Empower Me, we offer individual one-on-one counselling delivered entirely online — so you can access meaningful, professional support from wherever feels most comfortable and safe for you.
What happens in counselling?
Counselling is a dedicated space that belongs entirely to you. There’s no agenda to perform, no pressure to have the right words, and no expectation that you’ll arrive with everything figured out. What we offer is a consistent, confidential relationship where you can speak honestly — about what you’re feeling, what’s happened to you, and what you want your life to look like.
We work primarily with people navigating:
Anxiety, panic disorders and stress — whether that shows up as constant worry, physical tension, difficulty switching off, or a persistent sense that something is wrong. We help you understand what’s driving it and build real capacity to manage it, not just cope with it.
Trauma and experiences of trauma from the past — things that happened to you that still live in your body and mind today, shaping how you see yourself and the world. We work at a pace that feels safe, never pushing you further than you’re ready to go. We work with polyvagal theory and somatic processing in the body/mind, often using EMDR as a very helpful and gentle tool
AOD addiction and Food Disorders – people who are living with the compulsion to use alcohol and/or drugs or food to manage their mental and emotional health. Understanding that this compulsion is not under conscious control, but rather unconscious motivations which can be hard to understand or even acknowledge.
What to expect
Sessions are held online, making it easier to fit support into your life without the added stress of travel or waiting rooms. You’ll meet with the same counsellor each time, because consistency and trust are at the heart of how this work happens.
Most people find that after an initial period of simply feeling heard, something begins to shift — not because they’ve been given answers, but because they’ve finally had the space to find their own.
